Support Scotland's heritage by giving now to the National Trust for Scotland

We're called the Newhailes Detectives Club. We're a children's nature club, led by NTS rangers and volunteers
The club is open to children aged 7 – 12 years old.
We're based at Newhailes Visitor Centre.
We meet 11 times a year, on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
The club members help to decide what to do each year - so if they vote for a trip to a local farm, then we'll go!

There's grassland, woodland, streams and ponds at Newhailes - and also the big house.

We can explore nature through the seasons, with all sorts of activities and games. Sometimes we learn about Newhailes' history.

Some activities: Pond Dipping (find tadpoles and other water creatures); Build Dens (survival in the wild); Bird watching (at different sites); Archaeology Trail (discover the past).

There is a small fee to cover costs.

Newhailes House is set within a large garden and an estate. The area of land around the house includes both woodland and fields.
