Support Scotland's heritage by giving now to the National Trust for Scotland

We're called the Ben Lawers Green Team. We're a children's nature club, led by NTS rangers and volunteers.
The Green Team is for any local youngsters who are interested in their environment. Most of the members come from the Killin area - but we also have members from neighbouring areas, such as Crianlarich and Kenmore.
We're based at the NTS Ranger Centre (Lynedoch) in Killin.
The Team meets every two weeks in the summer and once a month in the winter.
Killin is within easy walking distance of woodland, open hillside and rivers, and stands close to Loch Tay - so there are plenty of places where we can investigate wildlife.

We get out and about as much as we can - but, if the weather is really awful, we can stay indoors at Lynedoch!

Some activities: Pond Dipping (discover what lives in the nearby pond); Going Batty (bat detecting); Nuts About Trees (grow trees from seeds); Meet the Local Experts (find out about, for instance, local deer, bees, fishing).

We sometimes take trips to places further afield.

Ben Lawers is a National Nature Reserve. It consists of several mountains and a Nature Trail. Green Team activities take place on the lower land.
