Support Scotland's heritage by giving now to the National Trust for Scotland

Heritage Conservation

The Trust's specialists strive to conserve and manage all the buildings and land within their care in a careful and sensitive manner. They take into account the special character, historic importance and location of each, and follow best conservation practices.

The Trust follows recognised principles and guidelines that have been agreed by national and international conservation bodies. It has also created its own Policies and Principles to allow further guidance for its staff.
