  • The Trust manages over 650km, (400 miles) of footpaths in its care
  • We have restored over 100km, (62 miles) of upland footpaths

We estimate that over one million people visit our countryside properties each year, whether it involves bagging a Munro, (mountains over 3000 feet) or taking the family for a walk in some of our beautiful woodlands or parklands.

Throughout our properties we have over 650km of upland and lowland paths offering a huge variety of recreation opportunities from challenging high level paths to low level paths suitable for mums and dads with buggies. Where possible we ensure our paths have least restrictive access and often connect up with path networks to neighbouring communities or visitor attractions.

Many of our properties have way marked walks, orientation panels and walk leaflets to help you enjoy your visit, plus viewing hides to enable you to get closer to wildlife.

Please see individual property pages to get information on walks in and around the properties.
