Our team create inspiring programmes within the countryside that can be life changing and can help remove obstacles to employment by promoting routes to healthy lifestyles and active volunteering.

Healthy Outdoors Teams

Healthy Outdoors Teams are designed to improve participant’s mental and physical wellbeing through their involvement in conservation activities which will improve the health of the people of Scotland.

The Healthy Outdoors Teams help people to improve their well-being and physical health, through gaining new skills, experiences and social interaction through practical conservation and contact with nature.

Our Healthy Outdoors Teams through working with partners aim to involve a wide range of people in taking positive action for the natural heritage and action for personal health and well-being. We work with individuals from currently under-represented groups and those in disadvantaged areas.

Participants in the Healthy Outdoors Teams will take part in health and well-being monitoring that will show the benefits of increased physical activity and contact with the natural world, which helps improve an individual’s health and well-being.

Our Teams currently run in Edinburgh, Dundee, Arran and Glasgow. If you or your group wish to join in please contact us.
