The Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Reveal Inventory Project Manager and members of the large project team (26 individuals) who will be based all over Scotland.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful post-holder will be a highly organised and experienced administrator with experience of working with dispersed teams. S/he will have an active interest in the museum or heritage sector and will demonstrate a commitment to the long term preservation of historic collections. This role will provide the centralised administrative support to seven teams of inventory staff who are working in diverse NTS properties all over Scotland. The teams will be adding data to a centrally held collection management database and the post-holder will be expected to generate database reports, and to collate and present data for communication internally and externally. S/he will apply professional judgement on the implementation of agreed policies and procedures and to be able to work safely and consistently within agreed parameters in order to meet agreed targets.

The inventory teams will contribute to a programme of social media promotion of the project, and the post-holder will also have a role in collating and managing social media content during the project.
