Site accessibility

In phase 1 of the development of this website, all menus have been designed as text are navigable and scalable.

The site uses style sheets wherever it is possible to do so and has alt tag descriptions for most of the imagery.

All text is displayed with good contrast levels to differentiate it from the background in which it is displayed.

Phase 2 of the development of our website has already started and within a short space of time, the site will

conform fully to all mandatory requirements (priority 1) for W3C XHTML for all pages. We will however, be

implementing changes and enhancements aimed at satisfying the requirements of W3C priority level 2.

In phase 2 we will also be further developing the alt tag descriptions throughout the site and improving the

accessibility of downloads and dynamic content.

Phase 3 of the site development is due to be completed towards the middle of 2007 and this will see the full

adoption of a metatag data standard throughout the site.

Although it is impossible to create a website that is truly accessible to absolutely everyone, we are committed to

an ongoing programme of review and enhancement to make our website more accessible.
