Following the successful 2008 opening of our internationally acclaimed Culloden Battlefield Experience, the National Trust for Scotland has now acquired Burns National Heritage Park in Alloway. While future plans include the transformation of the existing centre into another exciting world-class visitor experience, for now you can:

• Visit the thatched cottage where Robert Burns was born 250 years ago.
• Discover over 5,000 artefacts, including an original manuscript of Auld Lang Syne.
• Stroll across the Brig o’ Doon and explore the Auld Kirk, both immortalized in the poem Tam o’ Shanter.
• Climb to the top of the historic Burns Monument and explore the surrounding commemorative gardens.
• Relax in our 120-cover restaurant and visit our Burns-themed gift shop.
