What is Hickory Golf?

Hickory golf is simply golf, as played in the halcyon days of the 1920s. At the National Trust for Scotland’s Kingarrock Hickory Golf Course, you'll play with original hickory clubs from the 1900s and softer, rubber-wound balls on a 9 hole course in a serene setting, making the most of fine Scottish views and a rich natural environment.

Whether you're a serious golfer or just fancy trying your hand at a fun, authentic sport from bygone days, we're confident you'll enjoy pitching in for a round, whatever your handicap.

Swing by after St Andrews

We're a short drive from St Andrews, Carnoustie and a host of Scotland's other premier courses, so if you're coming here on a golfing holiday consider topping off your visit with 9 holes of history.
