Homecoming Scotland 2009 celebrates the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth, and the Trust is supporting the initiative with a series of special events and activities to encourage people from home and abroad to enjoy our properties.
The Trust will be holding a variety of Homecoming events during the course of 2009 at properties throughout Scotland. Why not join us?
And you can celebrate Burns Night in style thanks to leading Scottish chef Nick Nairn. Nick has given us an exclusive Burns Night menu, which are available to download exclusively from the Trust website, to ensure that you can prepare the perfect Burns supper.
Armed with Nick’s recipes you can become part of the world’s biggest Burns Supper, a new initiative from Homecoming 2009.
A specially-themed Trust cruise around Scotland from 21-28 May 2009, entitled ‘Westering Home’, will visit a number of exceptional destinations.
The National Trust for Scotland holiday accommodation is the perfect place to stay. Ranging from lighthouses to luxury accommodation, they provide the idea base for touring Scotland – you could even follow the historic Jacobite Trail of Trust properties.
