On Friday 20th June, at Ben Lomond on the East side of Loch Lomond, the Corporate Challenge staff supported by local rangers welcomed one hundred employees of the Ryden Property Group to take part in a variety of tasks to improve the local area.
The employees excelled away from their offices in removing old deer fencing, clearing rhodendrum, removing litter from the shore line, making charcoal and building new fencing. Their hard work was rewarded in the evening with a BBQ and Ceilidh topped of with a fire and further music on the Loch shore before retiring to Rowardennan Hostel for the night.
Sandy Batho, representing the Trust at the evening reception, commented "I found Ryden highly motivated by the day's experience and feeling good about having got out of an office environment. There were very supportive words from Ryden's people to everyone there, especially Alasdair as the Head Ranger and Gavin, Jon and the rest of the volunteering team that were there"
Ryden Property Consultants are the Trust's longest standing Corporate Challenge supporters, and this was one of the biggest one day challenges that either the Trust or NTS has undertaken, with over 100 participants and 10 NTS leaders in attendance.
