Description
The NTS is in the process of introducing a GIS based Tree Inspection system to all its properties. This will replace previous paper based systems and will be managed by Woodland Managers. The Woodland Assistant will play an important role in this process by assisting the Woodland and Property managers establish the zoning and levels of inspection for each property and set up the Maps and databases the system requires. Some properties have completed this process and they will require reviewing and updating while most in the south and west have yet to start the process. It is also hoped as part of the mapping exercise to gather other more general woodland data to populate a database of NTS woodlands
