Discover the Old & New Towns of Edinburgh World Heritage Site with our
Tale of 2 Cities Tour. Ranking along with other amazing locations such as The
Great Wall of China, the Pyramids and The Statue of iberty, we are in very
good company to wow your groups as they contrast two very different historic
areas in Scotland’s capital city.
Start off in the Old Town, on the famous Royal Mile at Gladstone’s Land – a tall,
narrow working class tenement from the 16th century with fabulous original
painted ceilings and furnishings. As you look out the windows, you can almost
imagine the procession of Scottish history through the ages along the Kingis Hie
Street.
Next on you tour is the famous architect, Robert Adam’s magnificent 18th
century Georgian House in Charlotte Square: a great opportunity to see a
completely authentic, furnished upper class New Town house. Get a flavour of the upstairs and downstairs life of a rich merchant’s family from the well
equipped kitchen in the basement to the exquisitely decorated family rooms on the upper floors.
Complete your Tale of 2 Cities Tour with a sumptuous afternoon cream tea in our elegant Georgian Restaurant at No 28 Charlotte Square.
