If Scotland is in your heart or blood, you can help to protect much of this beautiful land by leaving a bequest to the National Trust for Scotland. Gifts in wills make up over a third of our annual voluntary income.

As we are Scotland’s largest conservation not-for-profit organisation, the generosity of our supporters is vital. With their help we protect thousands of acres of outstanding countryside and its wildlife. We care for Scottish houses, crofting communities, historic battlefields and castles and we have in our stewardship some of the best collections of paintings and artefacts in the country. All these are special memories to someone somewhere.

Visitors from the United States or tax-payers there will be interested to learn that the Trust is represented by The National Trust for Scotland Foundation, USA. All membership contributions including subscriptions made through the Foundation by US taxpayers are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by US law. Bequests can also be made through the Foundation if donors wish. For further information on membership subscriptions, donations and bequests contact:

Fair Isle

"As an American living in the Western Isles I have found a place of peace and tranquillity that I can call home. I am aware that Scotland has lost much of its native tree species over the years and I have left a legacy of £10,000 to aid the Trust’s work in this direction."
