Some people who live overseas and have never even visited Scotland leave a gift to the Trust in their wills. Recently, someone whose mother was Scottish wrote to tell us that he had chosen to leave us something because he remembered the stories his mother had told him when he was a boy. Although he has, so far, never visited Scotland, he feels it's his country and wants to make sure that its natural and cultural heritage is preserved for everyone who feels they have a strong link with the country.
