Fairytale-like turrets, gargoyles of fantastic design and the ancient Horn of Leys given in 1323 by Robert the Bruce are just a few of the features of this historic castle.

The Crathes gardens and estate are ideal for a family day out. A delight at any time of year, the famous gardens feature great yew hedges and colourful double herbaceous borders.

Saturday 4th May the last entry to the castle will be at 1pm.

On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July 2013 entry to the Walled Gardens will be with tickets to Alice in Wonderland only. All visitors, including NTS members, must purchase a ticket.

* Castle, Shop and Courtyard Cafe also open daily 27-31 December.
