John Muir Festival

John Muir Festival

The Hill House
Sat 26 Apr

Join us for the flag procession finale of the John Muir Festival.

more details »

The participants will be given medium sized, custom made flags, designed by artists Old Hag, who worked with community running, walking and cycling groups from different locations along the John Muir Way to inspire the illustrations.

The flags come on handy, light weight backpacks so they are very easy to carry. There are also small, handwaving flags, designed by school children, for those who would prefer.

At Hermitage Park between 2-4pm there will be walkabout theatre, art installations, music and food stalls.

12.30 – 1.15 – people gather at Hill House to collect flags

1.15pm – Procession is launched by Helensburgh and District Pipe Band

The procession will head down Upper Colquhoun St, round the train station onto Colquhoun St, turn right at East King St, down James St onto West Clyde St, along and then up Sinclair St into Hermitage Park.

2pm – Arrive in Hermitage Park

You can register for this event by going to www.eventbrite.co.uk or emailing Eileen Wilson at eileen@uzarts.com.
