The Trust Comes to You!

This year, the National Trust for Scotland is launching a rolling programme of ‘Local Assemblies’ – events at which you can meet representatives of our Board of Trustees and senior managers.

Previously, members have had to travel to a central location to attend our Annual General Meeting but Local Assemblies mean that the Trust will come to you.

Local Assemblies are a chance to:

• Hear how we are progressing with delivery of our new five-year strategy
• Learn more about conservation of properties in your area
• Ask questions and offer opinions to senior people from the Trust
• Take part in group discussions on subjects linked to local or national heritage

The first Local Assemblies are confirmed as taking place as follows and the Chairman will be attending all of them along with the Trust’s Chief Executive, Kate Mavor:

Sat 14 April 2012 (from 2.00 PM), Culloden Visitor Centre, near Inverness

Wed 6 June 2012 (evening), Royal Geographical Society, Kensington, London

Wed 12 Sept 2012 (from 11.00 am), Haddo House, near Tarves, Aberdeenshire

Sat 22 Sept 2012, General Assembly Hall, the Mound, Edinburgh – National Trust for Scotland 2012 AGM followed by a Local Assembly

Wed 17 Oct 2012 (from 11.00 am), Threave Estate and Garden, near Castle Douglas

More dates and locations will be announced soon, inclusive of an event we will hold in Glasgow in the early spring of 2013.

If you would like to know more about these events, or would like to register your interest in attending one of them, please e-mail localassemblies@nts.org.uk or telephone 0844 493 2100. When contacting us please provide your name, contact details and Trust membership number if you have one. Programmes and additional details will be supplied following registration.

We do hope that you can come along to one of these events and we genuinely want to hear your thoughts about the Trust and its future in your area.
