Foot
Access to Goatfell is possible from Brodick Country Park and Cladach on the A841 (Brodick to Lochranza route).

Ferry
Caledonian MacBrayne runs a ferry service from Ardrossan (Ayrshire) to Brodick - 55 mins. There is a connecting bus from the ferry port at Brodick to the Reception Centre at Brodick Castle (2 miles).
Caledonian MacBrayne also runs a ferry service from Claonaig (Kintyre) to Lochranza at the north end of Arran. This is a frequent service in the summer, but limited in winter.

Cycle
The National Cycle Route 75 takes you to Ardrossan. From Ardrossan take the CalMac ferry to Brodick. National Cycle Route 73 passes near to Goatfell. Cyclists must note that the section along the Fisherman’s Walk (the traffic-free section) is not suitable for bikes. An alternative route is available along the A841.
