Did you know?
The arches which formed the house's arcade, once a common architectural feature in Edinburgh buildings of the era but now the Royal Mile's only surviving example, were at one point actually inside the building when the shop front (Luckenbooth) was extended and used as a dairy shop in Victorian times.
