Disabled parking is available directly beside the castle.

Access to the castle is difficult for wheelchairs due to the many steps and spiral stairs to all rooms.

Lightweight folding seats are available on request.

There are numerous steps in the building: one step to the entrance lobby; four steps down to the reception area and shop; eleven steep steps with a rope handrail to the Great Hall; and thereafter narrow, spiral stairs with rope handrails. Staff will point out hazards.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Out-of-hours tours and touch tours can be arranged - please contact the custodian on 0844 493 2164. The grounds around the castle are accessible.

The trails at Craigievar are on unsurfaced forest paths; the trails are very steep in sections and can be slippery in wet weather.

WCs are available in the public car park. There are no disabled toilet facilities at present.

The shop is four steps down from the entrance lobby.
