Ferry
Caledonian MacBrayne runs a ferry service from Ardrossan (Ayrshire) to Brodick - 55 mins. There is a connecting bus from the ferry port at Brodick to the Reception Centre (2 miles).
Caledonian MacBrayne also runs a ferry service from Claonaig (Kintyre) to Lochranza at the north end of Arran. This is a frequent service in the summer, but limited in winter.

Cycle
The National Cycle Route 75 takes you to Ardrossan. From Ardrossan take the CalMac ferry to Brodick. National Cycle Route 73 passes next to Brodick Castle. Cyclists must note that the section along the Fisherman’s Walk (the traffic-free section) is not suitable for bikes. An alternative route is available along the A841.

Opening times

The Cadbury Egg Trail will go ahead on Sunday 31 March and the tea room and shop will be open between 11am - 3pm. The castle is expected to re-open on Monday 01 April

Country Park: all year, daily 9.30-sunset.

Castle: 27 Mar to 30 Apr, daily 11-3; 1 May to 30 Sep, daily 11-4, 1 Oct to 31 Oct, daily 11-3 (guided tours during October).

Shop and Tearoom: 27 Mar to 30 Apr, daily 10-4, 1 May to 31 Aug, daily 10-5, 1 Sep to 30 Sep, daily 10-4, 1 Oct to 31 Oct, daily 11-4.

Walled Garden: 27 Mar to 31 Oct, daily 10-4.30, 1 Nov to 20 Dec, Sat/Sun 10-3.30.
