Getting There
Bus – Citylink bus from Inverness and Glasgow and from Skye to Kyle of Lochalsh

Train - Inverness to Kyle line stops at Plockton, Duirinish and Kyle

Road - mainly accessed by A87(T) Inverness to Kyle road but can also be accessed from North by way of the A890 from from Achnasheen and Lochcarron. Lochalsh Woodland Walks is 2.5 miles east of Kyle, just off the A87(T), as is the Square.

The SS Port Napier sank in Loch Alsh after catching fire while in port at Kyle of Lochalsh. She was on her maiden voyage and carrying a full cargo of mines. Her crew abandoned ship before she exploded and sank. The wreck is a very popular dive site
