    Hickory Golf The long awaited hickory golf course has now opened to the public. More>
    Play golf the traditional way at Hill of Tarvit. Golf at Hill of Tarvit re-establishes the thrill of the game 100 years ago with hickory shafts and softer golf balls. The more gentle sport is rekindled in the most beautiful of Scottish settings. Reservations can be made for the 1st tee every 15 minutes starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm. From the beginning of October the last bookable tee-time is 4pm. Where play is requested outside these times we will do our best to make it possible. Players will be provided with a minimum of 5 original hickory clubs, an original canvass and leather bag, together with balls and tees that represent the early 20th century golfing experience.

    Celebrating My Garden

    Celebrating My Garden Youngsters are called to be arty. An Art competition for primary schools has been organised at Falkland Palace. More>
    Pupils are called to entry a painting, drawing, collage or other medium which reflects the gardens that Mary Queen of Scotts would have enjoyed. All entries will be exhibited in the Town Hall on Satruday 25 and Sunday 26 October. Entries must be submitted by 1 October. Entry forms and more infomation is available from Falkland Palace reception or call 08444932186 There are three categories Primary 1-2-3 / 4-5 / 6-7. There will be an individual prize per group and a school prize for best exhibit. Entries to be submitted by 1 October 2008. All entries will be exhibited in Falkland Town Hall.
