Balmacara Estate & Lochalsh Woodland Garden
|
Dogs welcome in Lochalsh Woodland Garden but are to be kept on the lead at all times. On the wider estate, in accordance with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, dogs are welcome, but owners have a responsibility to ensure that they are kept under proper control at all times and that they specifically take account of livestock and other land management activities.
Parking is available at Balmacara Square (c. 15 spaces) within 100 m of visitor centre. Limited disabled parking spaces are available immediately outside the building. Parking for the garden is located c. 700 m from the entrance to the more formal garden which is accessed through a woodland walk or by walking along the quiet single-track public road by the shore. Disabled parking is permitted outside Lochalsh House, in the garden, and visitors are requested to inform staff at the office for safety purposes.
