    Summer Music at Haddo House

Wednesday 4 June to Sunday 8 June 2008

Summer Music offers a vibrant experience of high quality chamber music in a magnificent setting.

This new festival comprises 11 events to suit differing musical tastes, from string quartets in the Library, intimate flute & guitar music in the Drawing Room and a recital on the famous Father Willis organ in the Chapel, to solo piano and chamber groups in Haddo’s unique wooden Hall where many distinguished musicians and actors have performed over the years.

Some of Britain’s finest artists will be appearing, including the Coull Quartet, the Endymion ensemble, mezzo-soprano Jane Irwin and violinist Susanne Stanzeleit, as well as popular Scottish-based artists ‘cellist Robert Irvine and pianists Graeme McNaught and Gusztáv FenyÅ', the festival’s artistic director.

Internationally-renowned music film director Bruno Monsaingeon will also be attending the screening of his award-winning portrait of the legendary Russian pianist Sviatoslav Richter, who once performed at Haddo.
