Mary Sleigh, subject of the famous Scots song “Mally Lee”, was celebrated as an Edinburgh beauty before her marriage to Alexander Brodie.

As an MP much of his time was spent away from the family estate. Mary was responsible for much of the 18th century landscaping improvements to the gardens and estate and introduced various innovations such as flax growing.

Susan tells the story of her life and times while Irene sings “Mally Lee” and other period songs.
