The best approach is from the Dorusduain car park off the old A87 – a 5-mile walk for which you should allow 5 hours for the round trip. Or, for very fit and experienced walkers, leave the car by the Ling bridge, at the north end of Loch Long, and take the long route along Glen Elchaig before making the steep climb to the Falls. Allow 8 hours for the 7-mile hike.
