    See Christmas as it was in 1780 and 1980! Greenbank House Dining Room will resemble Christmas 1780 with the table set for pudding course. While the library will be decked out in the theme of a Christmas 1980. See Georgian recipes for Christmas and notable events from the 1780’s and 1980’s. Friends of Greenbank Christmas goods and home baking will be available in the shop.

    Keeping Christmas at Pollok with Mrs. Claus Keeping Christmas at Pollok is a magical event for all ages. Mrs Claus is here every day in December until Christmas Eve for the children to visit. More>
    The house is beautifully decorated throughout, with each of the main rooms having a different theme. Mrs Claus is here daily for the children to visit between 11.00am and 4.00pm from 29 November to 24 December inclusive. The famous Pollok House Teddy Bears will be here again, and this year they are going to the pantomime (they won’t tell us which one but we think it might be Aladdin!). There will also be a special Christmas lunch menu in the restaurant, available from 29 November.

    Saturday 29 November 2008 - Sunday 4 January 2009

    Times:
    10.00am – 5.00pm (last entry to the House and last orders in the Restaurant is at 4.30pm) Visits to Mrs. Claus 11.00am – 4.00pm until 24 Dec. The House is closed on 25 and 26 December, and 1 and 2 January.

    Get away from the hectic high street and experience the true spirit of Christmas. The festive programme includes: Friday 5 december 7.30pm – 9.30pm Oratorio choir performance A glass of sparkling wine and nibbles on arrival. Oratorio choir from 8pm-8.45pm. Tickets are £5 and can be booked on 0844 493 2208. Saturday 6 December 11.30am – 4pm Elves workshop, £2 per child Sunday 7 December 11.30am - 1.30pm Gift wrapping demonstration, £3.50, maximum of 12 people. 12pm - 2pm Santa's Grotto, £1 per child Be sure to visit our specialist design shop with designer glass and jewellery, and a wide range of gifts ideas and Christmas decorations available in our Mackintosh Shop.

    The Dining Room will be set for her snow banquet, visit the Queen in her magival Throne Room and on the way, see her sleight drawn by polar bears ! There’ll be craft stalls and plenty of gift ideas in our shop. Treat yourself to something tasty in our café.

    Winter Wlidlife Walk Come along and find out about the different birds, trees and wildlife we have at the David Livingstone Centre in winter. More>
    Enjoy the fresh outdoor air and afterwards have a refreshing tea or coffee along with some interesting chat. This event will be lead by a member of staff from the National Trust of Scotland. Stout walking shoes and warm outdoor clothing a must, children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note: There are other events on that day for children and will overlap.
