    Autumn/ winter:
The House is closed to the public from the 31st of October but there is access to the public for two weekends in winter as part of a festive opening. The first weekend is the 25th & 26th of November then the 2nd & 3rd of December, both feature festive entertainment from local music groups.

    Spring:
The house opens in the spring around Easter time and in April is part of the local Blossom Festival held annually in Helensburgh

Summer: At the end of summer in early September the annual plant sale is held in the grounds of The Hill House where local gardeners can buy and sell their produce. Some plants from The Hill House garden are also on sale.

Throughout the year there are several temporary exhibitions featuring the creations of artists working in varying mediums.
