    Autumn/Winter
The House is closed to the public from 31 October but the property does allow access for two weekends in winter as part of a festive opening. The weekends are 28 & 29 November and 5 & 6 December; both feature festive entertainment from local music groups.

    Spring
The House opens in the spring on 1 April and is part of the local Blossom Festival held annually in Helensburgh.

    Summer
At the end of summer, in early September, the annual plant sale is held in the grounds of the Hill House where local gardeners can buy and sell their produce. Some plants from the Hill House garden are also on sale.

Throughout the year there are several temporary exhibitions featuring the creations of artists working in various media.
