    A Midsummer Night’s Dream An outdoor evening performance of William Shakespeare’s comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the garden at the Hill House. More>
    Quantum Theatre Company perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the garden at the Hill House. Seating not provided, so please bring folding chairs, blankets and picnics! Tickets can be purchased from the property, and will be available online from Wednesday 15 July.

    7pm (gates open 6pm). The performance will last approximately 1hr 50, with a 20 minute interval.

    Lyrical Abtraction

    Lyrical Abtraction An exhibition of contemporary abstract stone sculpture by sculptors Kate Thomson and Honoriri Katagiri. Their works will be on show both in the first floor exhibition room inside the Hill House and also in the garden. More>
    Kate Thomson and her husband Kata have recently moved back to Scotland after living and working in Japan for twenty years. Both have exhibited widely in Japan and Europe and are looking forward to seeing their work displayed against the backdrop of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s iconic Hill House. Kate has said the property is, “an ideal space to illustrate the Scottish and Japanese cultural and aesthetic contexts and that in turn, she and Kata’s contemporary sculpture will highlight how the Mackintosh’s architecture retains its innovative beauty and is still relevant to the modern world”.
