School visits by appointment only. Please contact the Senior Property Assistant on 01307 840288 or the Area Manager on 01674 810264.

The visits are suitable for children aged 5 years and upwards. Children can experience a Victorian classroom, see how people lived and worked and dress up in traditional costumes. Groups will be split to smaller groups of no more than 10 pupils.

We can arrange demonstrations on specific topics such as weaving and linen. Please ask for further information. Outside, the Agriculture section is often the favourite part of the museum, especially when the Bothy Ballads are playing and the guides tell stories of life on the land in days gone by.

Schools with Educational Membership gain entry to all NTS properties for free, otherwise there is a charge of £2 per person or concession rates for older students.
