Autumn: the House is closed in October except for the family Halloween Evening that is always great fun, with many visitors arriving in all sorts of strange costumes.
The House looks very different in dim lighting with strange bangs and screams coming from behind doors and up stairs, you are never to sure what you might see or hear on Halloween!
The estate is also a popular place to come to collect conkers always great fun for the children.
Winter: The House is put to bed and wrapped in dustsheets giving the rooms a rather ghostly appearance.
If, as is usual we have a good fall of snow the estate is a wonderful place to come sledging, cross-country skiers have even been seen enjoying the trails. The property looks very pretty with frozen ponds and the trees hanging heavy with snow a good place to come for a brisk walk.
Spring: The House opens its doors for visitors looking wonderful after its winter sleep and the intensive conservation clean.
This is a good time of year to hear the many woodpeckers that have made the estate there home, if you are very lucky you may even see one in the trees.
Summer: A wonderful time of year for family picnics and there are several picnic tables available for visitors to use. Then perhaps a walk on one of the way marked trails and an ice cream from the tearoom before you drive home.
