By bus Stagecoach Bluebird bus numbers 201, 202 and 203 from Aberdeen bus station stop within walking distance (1/2 mile) of Drum Castle.
Note: There is a steep walk from the Drum Castle bus stop on the A93 up to the property.
By train From Aberdeen railway station, take the Stagecoach Bluebird bus numbers 201, 202 or 203 from Aberdeen bus station, which is right next to the railway station. These buses stop within walking distance of Drum Castle.
By bike To reach Drum Castle, cycle along the ‘Banchory to Crathes Deeside Way’ to Milton and then follow the signs to Crathes Castle, which will take you under the road bridge. Drum Castle is then 6 miles from Crathes Castle along the A93.
