Access and Additional Support

Information about access and additional support, for learners at Trust sites, can be found on the Teachers’ Information Sheets. There are further details in the Places to Visit section of the Trust website – please select your site and check Accessibility.

We welcome all learners to our places and are happy to meet particular requirements. We like to ensure that all pupils and teachers get the most from their visit.

Some of our sites have specific provision for learners with hearing or sight loss (such as hearing loops, Braille transcripts and/or handling objects).

We do our utmost to accommodate visitors with mobility impairment. Some buildings have lifts. At other places, the lower floors (of buildings) and the gardens are accessible to wheelchair users. However, we do regret that the Trust’s historic sites and countryside areas cannot always be adapted for full access. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to phone or email the property manager before your visit.
