The Learning Services Department supports learners of all ages who wish to access the Trust and its resources for educational purposes. We do this in many ways but especially through educational programmes and events for schools and interpretive displays for visitors to the properties in our care.

Who we are
Our Learning Staff work hard to ensure that a high quality educational provision is available at as many Trust properties as possible. Two of our Learning managers focus on developing and delivering Resources and Events and some properties have Learning Managers and Learning Officers whose role is to support, develop and deliver Learning Programmes to a variety of users.

Our Interpretation section is based at our head office in Edinburgh. The Interpretive Project Managers and Interpretive Designer are responsible for planning, commissioning and project managing the interpretation provision at the properties in our care. This may range from full scale exhibitions in Visitor Centres to individual leaflets or panels.

Our Departmental Assistant is the first point of contact for individual enquiries.

What we do
We organise special events, programmes and resources for schools, details of which can be found in our Schools Programme. Copies of this may be obtained free of charge by phoning 0844 493 2417 or by clicking here. Should you have particular requirements contact us to discuss these when you are planning your visit.

Our aim is to make the resources of the Trust and the expertise of our staff as widely accessible as
possible. Countryside Rangers offer environmental educational programmes and educational visits to our properties are always welcome. Should you have particular requirements our learning Managers will be happy to discuss these with you when you are planning your visit.

How to find out more
Should you wish to make an educational visit or have any enquiry which relates to learning or
interpretation, please feel free to contact any of the Learning Services staff.
