By having an educational membership of the Trust your school or college can now experience at first hand the best of Scotland's
heritage and enjoy free access to many of Scotland’s finest heritage sites. Most schools find that an educational membership of the Trust is the most cost effective way to visit our properties.
The Trust cares for a wealth of historic buildings, countryside and gardens. These include Victorian printing works, battlefields, working corn mills and nature reserves as well as numerous castles. Educational programmes and resources are available at many of our properties and handling objects and costumes for pupils may also be available. Live interpreters at some of our major properties ensure that your visit is memorable as well as being of educational value.
By providing young people with ready access to their heritage we hope that they will develop a sense of responsibility through
identifying with their cultural inheritance.
The subscription rates are based on the size and type of educational institution. Teachers are welcome to make a preliminary visit free of charge. Contact property managers to arrange times.
