Sleeps 12. Accommodation comprises: 4 twin bedrooms, 1 double, ensuite and 2 single bedrooms, 1 bathroom with WC, 1 shower room with WC and separate WC. Magnificent drawing room with open fire, library, dining room, kitchen, laundry and drying room. Services : gas central heating.

Additional information: The house has its own private garden with garden furniture. Parking for up to 4 cars is available at the rear of the property. Public transport accessible.

Visitors may also be interested to know that additional accommodation can be booked at Harmony Cottage, which sleeps 4, and Pear Cottage, which sleeps 2. Both cottages are less than a 5-minute walk from Harmony.

Harmony can be used for events like wedding receptions. Please note that these additional activities must be agreed in advance with the Property Manager and this will incur an additional charge.

Please note that guests will be asked to provide credit/debit card details as a “good housekeeping deposit” to cover any damages/ breakages which may occur. The deposit is £500 and will only be processed in the event of any damage to the property and its contents.

About the property:

Harmony Garden is a delightful tranquil walled garden comprising lawn, herbaceous and mixed borders, vegetable and fruit areas, and a rich display of spring bulbs. The garden is set around an early 19th-century house (not open to the public), built by a Melrose joiner, who named it after the Jamaican pimento plantation where he had made his fortune. It is situated near Priorwood Garden, also owned by the Trust, which specialises in the cultivation of flowers for drying.

About the area:

A good selection of shops is available in Melrose including those selling knitwear, tweeds, books and antiques. There is also an excellent choice of hotels and restaurants for eating out.
