Weddings at Threave

Overlooking a mosaic of tree-lined lawns, Threave House is set amidst 25 hectares of wonderful gardens. Gracious staircases and formal rooms make this an elegant venue for wedding receptions, ceremonies and dinners.

For larger events, choose from the Terrace Restaurant, nestled between the rose garden and orchard, or a marquee within the beautifully manicured gardens.

Ceremonies and receptions can also be held alfresco anywhere within the gardens - simply choose your favourite spot.
Available for civil, religious and humanist weddings, Threave offers endless opportunities for stunning photography, whatever the season.

Corporate

Threave Estate is a flexible venue for corporate entertaining and events, offering a choice of indoor space in Threave House and the Terrace Restaurant or outdoor space in the gardens. Together, they create a relaxed atmosphere in elegant surroundings with excellent facilities.

Enjoy a sunset cocktail party on the terrace and explore the garden’s many hidden treasures, glass in hand. For maximum versatility, a marquee can be erected in the grounds, where the gardens provide a colourful backdrop.

Travelling to Threave

Threave Estate is situated off the A75, 1 mile from Castle Douglas and 20 miles from Dumfries. It is easily accessible by road from Glasgow, Stranraer, Gretna Green and the Lake District.
