David Livingstone, Scotland's most famous explorer and missionary, and hero of the Victorian age, was born here in 1813. Today, the David Livingstone Centre offers a remarkable setting for meetings, conferences and events.
As a break from the day's business, delegates can explore the Grade A listed tenement where Livingstone was born, now a museum displaying many of his personal belongings, including journals, navigational and medical equipment; relax in the Explorer's Garden, a peaceful and shady oasis bordered by the River Clyde; or stroll along the picturesque Clyde Walkway.

Situated off the M74 at junction 5, the David Livingstone Centre is 15 minutes from Glasgow city centre, 30 minutes from Glasgow International Airport and under an hour from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport. Blantyre is the nearest railway station with frequent services to and from Glasgow Central Station (Low Level).
