NTS Plant Collections
The NTS Gardens are host to an extensive range of plant collections, including some national plant collections for the NCCPG (National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens). The site will discuss the importance of the NTS`s plant collections and give an overview of NCCPG National Plant Collections maintained in our gardens.

The Demeter Plant Database
To help us manage and maintain details of our plant collections the NTS has set up the Demeter plant database which was developed in partnership by the Royal Horticultural Society, English Heritage, National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens, the NTS and the National Trust.

Gardening Advice
The Trust`s gardeners are highly experienced professionals and have a host of knowledge on a wide range of horticultural subjects including conservation of historical landscapes, organic gardening and creating a good compost. Why not learn directly from our gardeners by volunteering to help in an NTS garden or taking part in Thistle Camps.

Plants for Sale
We sell a large range of plants and seeds at our Plant Centres and Plant Sale Events, some of which include plants from our collections and plants which have been tried and tested in our cool Scottish climate. Look out for our `Authentic Gardening` label which indicates that the plant or product has been specially selected from one of our gardens.
