  • Alloa Tower
    Dating from the fourteenth century, Alloa Tower is the largest surviving keep in Scotland, located just 7 miles from Stirling. Home to successive generations of the Earls of Mar, the Tower has played host to many Scots monarchs, possibly including Mary, Queen of Scots.

  • Culzean Castle
    Rising majestically from its clifftop domain, this imposing eighteenth-century castle, only 12 miles from Ayr and Prestwick airport, is quite simply the most spectacular in Scotland. Surrounded by sea, woodland and formal gardens, Culzean was Robert Adam's final masterpiece.

  • David Livingstone Centre
    Scotland's most famous explorer and missionary was born here in 1813. Today this eighteenth century tenement, just 5 miles from Glasgow City Centre, commemorates David Livingstone's life and work.

  • Greenbank Garden
    With a one-hectare walled garden surrounded by six hectares of policies, this elegant Georgian house, only 6 miles from Glasgow City Centre, was built in 1764 for a Glasgow merchant and today is the home of The National Trust for Scotland's West Regional Office.

  • Polllok House
    Hidden away in a 450 hectare country park, whilst only 3 miles from Glasgow City Centre, Pollok House is the Scottish country house at its best. Steeped in history and home to a superb art collection, this venue is second to none.

  • Threave House
    This Scottish Baronial-style house, located only a mile from Castle Douglas, commands superb views over the magnificent gardens and surrounding estate, owned in the 14th century by the Black Douglas family and now a renowned wildlife habitat.
