Rising majestically from its clifftop domain, this imposing eighteenth-century castle, only 12 miles from Ayr and Prestwick airport, is quite simply the most spectacular in Scotland. Surrounded by sea, woodland and formal gardens, Culzean was Robert Adam's final masterpiece.
Adam's mastery of form in his radical adaptation of this castle, originally dating from 1590, has created a grand, impossibly romantic backdrop for modern events. Set in nearly 250 hectares of beautiful countryside with woodland walks, inviting sandy beaches, terraced gardens and charming follies, this is a unique and inspirational setting for entertaining guests.
The breathtakingly beautiful red Circular Saloon, with views towards the Isle of Arran, can seat 70 guests for a ceremony or concert, followed by dinner in the surprisingly intimate State Dining Room. For a larger event, the Home Farm Restaurant can accommodate up to 100 guests for a banquet and ceilidh. This air of exclusivity extends to the six-bedroomed Eisenhower Apartment at the top of the castle, which with its roaring log fire, can accommodate up to twelve guests in a private country house style and is the perfect location for a honeymoon or luxury executive retreat.
