With a one-hectare walled garden surrounded by six hectares of policies, this elegant Georgian house, only 6 miles from Glasgow City Centre, was built in 1764 for a Glasgow merchant and today is the home of The National Trust for Scotland's West Regional Office.
Greenbank Garden, which surrounds the elegant Georgian home of a Glasgow merchant, is composed of a series of beautiful ornamental gardens, each with their own character. Run today as an education garden, it has its own programme of events including garden walks and practical demonstrations of garden techniques.
Within easy access of the centre of Glasgow, yet bordered by fields (complete with Highland cattle!), Greenbank offers a peaceful alternative for corporate and private events. The striking floral displays, manicured lawns, impressive sculpture, fountain and pools provide the perfect setting for garden parties, summer weddings and corporate receptions. Marquees can be set up on the lawn in front of the house to seat up to 200 guests. The Coach House adjoining the main house is available for informal meetings and presentations for up to 30, while the Dining Room inside the main house is available for daytime meetings for up to 16.
