Alloa Tower

Dating from the fourteenth century, Alloa Tower is the largest surviving keep in Scotland, located just 7 miles from Stirling. Home to successive generations of the Earls of Mar, the Tower has played host to many Scots monarchs, possibly including Mary, Queen of Scots.

Within the walls of Alloa Tower lie the rare remains of medieval dungeons and massive oak-beamed roofs. Having survived turbulent times, the Tower was transformed into an elegant, eminently comfortable home in the eighteenth century, with interiors inspired by the grand palaces of Italy.

The Tower is the perfect venue for a Scottish themed event, evoking a mood of brave deeds, romance and history. The sweeping staircase creates a sense of expectation as it leads from the Tower's impressive stone Entrance Hall, past the Minstrel Gallery into the impressive Great Hall, where 60 guests can be seated for a presentation, concert or ceremony. Alternatively this charming venue can accommodate a drinks reception for 60 guests or a dinner for 40.
