See what it was like to live in medieval times, as Castle Fraser plays host to 200 warriors.
The Battle of Harlaw (Cath Gairbheach in Gaelic) was fought near Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 24 July 1411 between Donald of Islay, Lord of the Isles (MacDonald) and an army commanded by Alexander Stewart, Earl of Mar.
It was considered one of the bloodiest battles in Scottish History and resulted in the deaths of many lords and knights of the time. The fierceness of this battle attributes to its much used traditional designation "Red Harlaw".
Around 200 medieval warriors will be camping at Castle Fraser, and the festival will climax with a re-enactment of 'The Battle of Harlaw'.
A village of craftsmen will be selling their wares to the public.
