The Burns 250 Collection is a fundraising initiative for the conservation, care and exhibition of the 5,000 items which will be cared for in the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway. Priceless manuscripts, exquisite artefacts and rare memorabilia make the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum collection unique.

There are different levels of support for The Burns 250 Collection, starting with a minimum gift of £250. We need to raise £1m through The Burns 250 Collection and you can help us reach our target by donating today.

Every Burns 250 Collection donor will receive:

• A certificate with the EXCLUSIVE Robert Burns seal
• Named recognition in the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

The Burns 250 Collection minimum gift levels are as follows:

£250 If you are an individual donor

£1,000 If you are a club, group, association or company of fewer than 50 employees or members

£2,500 If you are a club, group, association or company of more than 50 employees or members

If you give £5,000 or more a special recognition of your gift will be made on or with a specific object in the Robert Burns collection in the new museum

If you give £10,000 or more you can bid for recognition and lasting association with one of the most prized objects in the collection. A special certificate will also be created featuring your object and the Burns seal and you will be invited to the invitation only opening event of the Museum in 2010.

The National Trust for Scotland has the privilege and the responsibility of establishing the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, Ayrshire. It is set to become an internationally significant cultural centre celebrating the life and works of Robert Burns. This project will create a new state-of-the-art museum, restore the Burns Birthplace Cottage and develop a centre for learners of all ages and abilities to engage with Burn’s work, life and Scottish poetry, song and literature.

This is the largest and most ambitious project the Trust has ever undertaken, we need you help to preserve the Burns legacy for generations to come

The National Trust for Scotland cares for the most significant plant collections in Scotland representing centuries of horticultural heritage. Everyday we confront the devastation that could be caused by Phytophthora ramorum (also known as Sudden Oak Death) and the ongoing threat of future plant diseases. Our Threatened Plants Appeal will support on-going work to protect our unique and priceless plant collections. The target is £50,000 - will you help us reach it?

Each St Andrew's Day we launch an appeal to raise much needed money to help support our smaller and more remote properties. The work that this appeal supports enables us to conserve and care for these much loved little gems.
