map
This modern map shows the line up of both armies at around 12 noon on
the day of the battle. The Government army is shown in red, the Jacobites
in blue. Cavalry regiments are shown with a diagonal stripe across each
block. Cannons are also shown.
Pupils can:
- Compare the number of men on each side
- Compare the number of cannon and horsemen on each side
- Discuss possible tactics – where would you put your men if you were commander?
