Programmes at Culloden for schools

The Learning staff at Culloden are available throughout school term times to lead visits and sessions as outlined below. They will also be available during school holidays; if you wish to visit the Centre and battlefield during this time in preparation for a school visit, please contact the staff to discuss your plans.

All programmes for schools are linked to the current school curricula, both at primary and secondary level.

Tertiary education groups are very welcome at Culloden – please contact Learning staff to discuss your needs.

Gaelic medium education groups – please contact Learning staff to discuss your needs.

Costs for the above programmes

  • Schools with educational membership of the NTS :: £1.50 per pupil
  • Schools without educational membership :: £3.00 per pupil

Adults accompanying school parties will be allowed free entry to the property in the following ratios:

  • Primary 1 to Secondary 6 :: 1 adult : 10 pupils
  • Schools for children with Special needs :: 1 adult : 1 pupil

 
  After the Battle
This is a full-day programme for primary pupils only which tells the story of Culloden from both sides of the conflict. It is a two-site visit with the Historic Scotland property
Fort George and includes a half day visit to both properties.
