Learning
Culloden has provided us with many lessons to be learned. Not just about
why the battle was fought but also about the people who were involved
and the impact which civil war can have on individuals and nations.
The National Trust for Scotland aims to support Learners of all ages who
wish to explore the history of the conflict. In particular we are keen
to support schools and to encourage teachers to bring their pupils to
the visitor centre and battlefield. There is great scope for pre and post
visit work and this section of the web site is designed to help teachers
who may require materials and resources for classroom work. It also details
the programmes on offer at the centre to schools and how to book a visit.
While the site has been designed primarily with staff in mind pupils may
find it useful in order to acquire images and facts for project work.
All materials are copyright to the National Trust for Scotland but may
be freely copied for classroom and school based projects on a non commercial
basis. Other use of the materials, including web based, must have the
permission of the Natonal Trust for Scotland.
